Peter DeBetta and Adam Machanic on creating good SQL databases

Peter and Adam talk about creating good SQL Server databases. We figured it was about time we did a good old fashioned data show!

Peter DaBetta

Peter DeBetta is an independent consultant specializing in design, development, implementation, and deployment of Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint Server, and .NET solutions. Peter writes courseware, articles, and books – most recently the title Introducing SQL Server 2008 from Microsoft Press. Peter speaks at conferences around the world, including TechEd, SQL PASS Community Summit, DevTeach, SQL Connections, DevWeek, and VSLive!

 

Peter is a Microsoft MVP for SQL Server, a co-founder of SQLblog.com, an MCP, President of the North Texas SQL Server User Group, and a member of PASS.

 

When Peter isn’t working, you can find him singing and playing guitar, taking pictures, or simply enjoying life with his wife, son, and daughter.


Adam MachanicAdam Machanic is a Boston-based independent database consultant, writer, and speaker. He has been involved in dozens of SQL Server implementations for both high-availability OLTP and large-scale data warehouse applications, and has optimized data access layer performance for several data-intensive applications. Adam has written for numerous web sites and magazines, including SQLblog, Simple Talk, Search SQL Server, SQL Server Professional, CoDe, and VSJ. He has also contributed to several books on SQL Server, including "SQL Server 2008 Internals" (Microsoft Press, 2009) and "Expert SQL Server 2005 Development" (Apress, 2007). Adam regularly speaks at user groups, community events, and conferences on a variety of SQL Server and .NET-related topics. He is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for SQL Server, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), and a member of the INETA North American Speakers Bureau.
