Eric Falsken Builds Object Databases

Carl and Richard talk to Eric Falsken of db4o. db4o is an open source object database for Java and .NET. Object databases have been around since the 1980s, but recently have become part of the NoSQL movement. Eric discusses the NoSQL movement in general and how various products fit into the ecosystem, including db4o.

Eric Falsken started in development using HTML 2.0 and ASP back in 1995. He's used .NET since the 1.0 release in 2002. Eric started working with db4o as a customer in 2003, joining the db4o team as a technical evangelist in 2005. Today db4o is part of the Versant product group of object databases.
