Paul Stubbs on Silverlight in Sharepoint

Paul Stubbs is a Microsoft Technical Evangelist for SharePoint and Office. He focuses on information worker development community around SharePoint and Office, Silverlight, and Web 2.0 social networking.

 

Paul has also worked with several other groups at Microsoft. He helped ship the first and second versions of Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) and Visual Studio Tools for Applications (VSTA), where he developed a new managed code application programmability development tool for InfoPath 2007; He also developed programmability features for future versions of Microsoft Office for the Groove team. Before Paul joined Microsoft, he was a senior .NET architect and developer for Unum Corporation in Portland, Maine. He has also worked on large-scale document generation applications using Microsoft Office and the .NET Framework.

 

Paul was a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and has received Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD) and Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certifications. He was co-founder of MaineBytes, one of New England's first .NET users groups. Paul has written for MSDN Magazineand has spoken at events such as Tech-Ed, Tech-Ready, the Strategic Architect Forum and the Microsoft Office Developers Conference. Paul has also co-authored three books: Professional SharePoint 2007 development using Silverlight 2 and Programming Microsoft Office Business Applications and VSTO for Mere Mortals: A VBA Developer's Guide to Microsoft Office Development Using Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office.
