Markus Egger on OOP and Tablet PCs
Markus Egger of CoDe Magazine and EPS Software fame joins Carl and Rory this week to talk about OOP, Windows Forms, Visual Inheritance, and Tablet PC development.
Markus is the President and Chief Software Architect of EPS Software Corp., a custom software development and consulting firm located in Houston, Texas. He specializes in consulting for object-oriented development, Internet development, B2B and Web Sercices. EPS does most of its development using Microsoft Visual Studio (.NET). EPS has worked on numerous software projects for Fortune 500 companies including Philip Morris, Qualcomm, Shell and Microsoft.
Markus has also worked as a contractor for the Microsoft Visual Studio team where he is mostly responsible for object modeling and other object and component related technologies. Markus is an international speaker having presented sessions at numerous conferences including a number of conferences in North America and Europe.
Markus has written numerous articles for publications including CoDe Magazine, Visual Studio Magazine, ASP.NET Pro Magazine, FoxPro Advisor, Fuchs, FoxTalk and Microsoft Office & Database Journal. Markus is the publisher of "Component Developer Magazine" (aka. Code Magazine), a .NET publication focusing in technologies such as .NET and Web Development.
Markus is the author of the book, Advanced Object Oriented Programming with VFP 6.0. Markus is the author of several well known tools such as the Voodoo Web Controls, GenRepoX, and Visual WebBuilder. Markus also received the Microsoft MVP Award (96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004) for his contributions to the developer community. Visual LandPro 98, one of the applications Markus was in charge of, was nominated for the Microsoft Excellence Awards three times.
